Dassai Sake Cake

Over the past 10-15 years “Dassai” a famous sake from Yamaguchi Prefecture, has become a leading brand of premium sake that no longer needs any explanation. It is my favorite sake to drink when I have a good time.
Asahi Sake Brewery, which makes such “Dassai”, makes pound cakes with plenty of sake. The Japanese paper package with the “Dassai” logo is wonderful.
It has the appearance of a standard pound cake, but it is moist and has the aroma of sake. It is a fairly fine sponge cake.
It is a very natural finish that works well with the flavor of the cake.
The aroma of sake enhances the pound cake so naturally, and the flavor is different from that of brandy, but very delicious. This would be a must-try treat for “Dassai” lovers.
