Todoroki-daiko Amakara
Japanese notation "轟太鼓 甘辛"
I bought “Todoroki Daiko” from “Kobaya” a company that makes sweets mainly from peanuts in Asahi City, Chiba Prefecture. This rice cracker is made by gathering peanuts and Okaki (a type of cracker made from ground peanuts) and forming them into a rice cracker shape.
The “Todoroki Daiko Sweet and Spicy” is a luxurious looking “kakiage” of peanuts and okaki, a type of fried rice cracker.
Sweet and spicy small rice crackers and peanuts are hardened with honey. There seems to be chili peppers inside, adding a spicy flavor to the sweetness of the honey to create a real sweet and spicy taste. It is thick and you can feel its weight when you hold it in your hand.
The quality of the beans is very high, probably because they are made by a peanut manufacturer, and the aroma of roasted peanuts is very good. Each bite is extremely satisfying, making this a truly luxurious rice cracker. You can fully enjoy the peanut, a specialty of Chiba Prefecture, in this rice cracker.
