Five cute cat characters

The “Mokemaro rice crackers” made by Friends Company in Tottori Prefecture are decorated with five cat friends, all of whom are lead by a cat character called “Mokemaro”. Cute!

Each of the five cat characters has a well-defined character,

Mokemaro…shy person. His hobby is late-night patrols.

Buchimi … Mokemaro’s wife. She is a natural and laid-back person, and her answers are gibberish. She is an idol of the cats.

Moketora … son of Mokemaro and Buchimi. He often begs tourists for food. He loves hot food.

Picore Yamashita … A returnee from England. He is a returnee from England, and his pretense of being an English gentleman makes people laugh.

Bontenmaru … A naughty boy who loves dango. He is always on the rampage with MOKETORA. He puts all his energy into playing every day.

They are probably the creator’s cats and neighbors’ cats. The cats are too cute with their tension-free expressions.

I bought it because of the cute illustration, but these rice crackers are delicious. It has a simple and rustic taste of flour and eggs. There seems to be a little miso (soybean paste) in it as a secret ingredient. It may be similar to the taste of “Yama-Oyaji” a personal favorite of mine. It is a perfect funny gift to add a smile to your gift.
