Goyoutei Series Strawberry Cookie Sandwich

I bought a strawberry sandwich cookie “Goyoutei(Imperial Villa) no Hana” from the “Goyoutei Series” made by Nasu Heartland in Tochigi Prefecture.

Strawberry cream is sandwiched in a firm, thick cookie.

The cream sandwiched inside is made from home-grown “Skyberry” strawberries, and the ripe strawberries are boiled down to create a natural strawberry cream with no flavorings or colorings. It is surprising that it is colorless despite such a beautiful coloring.

The cream is a beautiful pink color. Ripe strawberries from Tochigi Prefecture are quickly frozen, then quickly kneaded and mixed with the cream to create a clear pink color, which is truly translucent. There is still a bit of sourness and strawberry pulp texture, and the aroma is extremely nice. The cookie is also very firm, making it a luxurious treat.
