Very mini-sized dumplings, about the diameter of a 10 yen coin, very soft to the touch, covered with a generous amount of kinako (soybean flour), and looking solidly like dumplings. They are so cute that it is a shame to eat them.
The mochi is very soft and the taste is authentic. It is like eating a shiny rice cake sprinkled with lots of soybean flour. You can eat as much as you want.
