I bought “Goma fukurou” made by Okinecia Corporation in Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture. The package has an owl on it, and the motif of the owl is the “Ryukyu Green Owl,” which is native only to Okinawa.
The “Flash of Deliciousness: Black Sesame & Macadamia Nut” is a snack with what kind of shape?
Sesame and macadamia nuts are cubed into blocks.
The dense black sesame seeds and the abundance of macadamia nuts in the shape of a large bowl of sesame seeds, the aroma of the cake can be felt even from just looking at it.
This cube is filled with quite a few large macadamia nuts and is hardened with brown sugar. The cubes are full of sesame flavor and have a delicious nutty aroma and texture. 1 bag was not enough.

9-22-25 Tried my first package today. I found it to be a pleasant combination of textures and flavors. Really enjoyed the CRUNCH factor in it. It initially reminded me of peanut brittle in flavor, but milder and not as cloyingly sweet. As I don’t read Japanese, I took a picture of the bar code and did a Google search.
It’s so cool that the owl on the package is the Ryukyu Green Owl, and ONLY found in Okinawa, where my brother and sister in law purchased it and other snacks when they lived there. I like the whole vibe!
