Suppai-man (Ume-koro)

It looks fancy, but it is an honest plum taste.

I bought “Suppai-man” made by “Uemama Confectionery” in Tomigushiro City, Okinawa Prefecture. It is a standard souvenir from Okinawa. There are various “Suppaiman” series on the market, but this is a tablet type ramune version.

The characterization of Suppai-man and the website of Kamima Confectionary Shop are quite interesting in their pop design, though. I feel at ease with this rustic feeling of the plum’s deliciousness as it is. I think it is a splendid traditional taste.
