Milk Lemon

Authentic bean paste made with Setouchi lemons, mildly sweet and sour.

Heian-doh Umetsubo is a long-established Japanese confectionery store founded in 1918 in Hiroshima Prefecture. The store is famous for a manju, a sweet bun, called “Gosaku Manju”, and this “Mirukuremon”, meaning Milk Lemon is their new confection.

Lemon desgin is printed in a way of Japanese pattern on the package. This is one of Aki prestigious confections.  The bun includes milk bean paste kneaded with lemon which comes from Setouchi area.

The smooth bun skin seems to be kneaded with condensed milk, giving it a sweet aroma.

Moist milk red bean past is filled in with aroma of lemon.

The red bean paste give authentic lemon-flavored sweetness, sour, and slightly bitterness.  This is well balanced with the sweet skin and is refreshing taste.That is very high qualified sweet bun reflecting their high skill done by a long-established Japanese confectionery store.
