Cheese Bouchée
Japanese notation "チーズブッセ (明月菓寮)"
“Cheese Bouchée” among a brand Meigetsu Karyo, is made by Ogura-Sanso Co. who locates in Nagaokakyo, Kyoto. They also have a shop on the second basement floor in Sogo Yokohama store. There is a full lineup of Okaki, rice crackers as well as the Chees Bouchée at the shop.
While the “Ogura Sanso” brand mainly sells rice crackers, the “Meigetsu Karyo” brand mainly offers a lineup of modern Japanese and Western-style confections. The Japanes paper is used for the package and is also very Kyoto-like, stamped a square seal.
The surface of the bouchée is quite moist. It is large size, so it feels rather substantial and heavy.
The fluffy, thick bouchée dough is filled with cheese cream.
It contains a finely chopped block cheese, and the saltiness of the cheese goes well with the cream. This Cheese Bouchée is for who wants to enjoy the flavor of cheese as it is.
