The confectioner Nenrin-ya now boasts immense fame as a famous baumkuchen maker and “Hitokuchi Straight Baum” is one of their confectionaries. The concept of this sweet is in contrast to the “Hitokuchi Mounted Baum” .
It looks like a standard baumkuchen, and it is cut in quarter size and is nice to have it individually packaged.
While the “Hitokuchi Mounted Baum” is made to be savory and texture like French bread, the “Hitokuchi Straight Baum” is baked to be soft and fluffy, like sponge cake, and is suitable for Japanese palates.
