Gouter de Roi Cacao

cacao-flavored rusks are also of high quality.

“Gouter de Roi Cacao” made by Gateau Festa Harada, who originated in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, is one of their series, kneaded cacao into the dough of Gouter de Roi French bread.

The other one, coated Chocolate around the rusk is also popular, and this one is made by kneading cacao into the rusk dough and baking it just like the regular “Gouter de Roi”.

Cacao is kneaded into the rusk and the rusk itself is chocolate-colored.

The fresh buttery aroma is soaked in the cocoa-flavored rusks, as same as the Gouter de Roi.

The cocoa flavor is more extensive than expected.   The combination with the sugar butter is also excellent. It is delicious with a slightly bitterness. There are many variations of Gouter de Roi, and it is fun to compare each of the series.
