Rice flour cookies shaping like a snowman but named Santa .

“Shirogane Santa”, a rice flour cookie made by Gato Senka locates in Mitsuke City, Niigata Prefecture. The rice is from the local and it sandwich rasberry sauce, a very pretty looking confection.

It’s named “White Santa,” but it is a round shape, like a snowman.

The cookie dough is made of rice flour and is pure white color. This arrangement is unique to Niigata, where is a famous of rice crops.

Broke it in half, I can see the cookie layered in two inside and it makes a round shape. Rasberry sauce fully filled in the both layered parts.

The combination of the slightly sweet & sour raspberry sauce and the fresh cookie is perfect and delicious.
