Japanese notation "餅のどら焼き"
“Mochi no Dorayaki” is a standard confectionery, made by FURUYA Koganean, who was established in 1936 in Hatagaya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo.
Dorayaki is kind a small pancakes with bean jam in between.
The package has a Japanese style yet modern design.
Upon opening the package, a half-moon shaped folded dorayaki was revealed.
The soft & sticky texture of the dorayaki crust is amazing. It seems that a lot of mochi flour is mixed into the dough, so the crust itself feels like a rice cake and pasted sweet beans are in between crust.
Perhaps because of the mochi (waxy rice) flour, the dorayaki has a moist and elegant sweetness.
