Mont Blanc Dorayaki
Japanese notation "大黒屋のモンブランどらやき"
Daikokuya, who locates in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture, is a famous confectionery shop for producing “Yubeshi”, a sweet Yuzu-flavoured steamed dumpling , but their Dorayaki, a bean-jam pancake is also very popular. This time, I bought the Mont Blanc flavor.
Comparing to ordinary dorayaki, this package has a three-dimensional appearance. The Mont Blanc flavor is also quite unusual.
Upon opening the package, a tall, volumy dorayaki appeared. I can see whipped cream sandwiched from the cracks.
When split in half, I can see why the dorayaki is tall and volumy: It has a single chestnut with its skin intact.
It is very rich including a whole chestnut and the Mont Blanc cream is extremely tasty! The dorayaki crust has a cake-like texture that matches with the cream.
