Baumkuchen (Euheim)
Japanese notation "バームクーヘン(ユーハイム)"
This is a baumkuchen made by Euheim, who is allegedly called an Originator of baumkuchen -maker. The first Euheim’s baumkuchen was made by Carl Euheim, a German confectioner who came to Japan as one of POWs of World War I, and it has spreaded to Japan.
Since the bakery was opened in Japan by a German bakery baker, it is understandable that the authentic taste has suddenly arrived and become popular. Nowadays, you can buy these sweets at any famous department stores in Japan.
There are many kinds of Uheim’s baumkuchen, and this time I bought a mini-sized one, individually wrapped in package, the size about 10 cm in diameter.
The standard looking and the product may be called “authentic”.
As they are called an Originator of baumkuchen and suceeded on its branding in Japan, it has a very stable, delicious, and classic taste. It may be an exaggeration to express this, but it has everything you could expect for baumkuchen, and it tastes exactly like a classic and original.
