Hokkaido An-Potato

“Hokkaido An-Potato” is a unique sweet made by Wakasaimo Honpo, who was founded in 1930, locates near Lake Toya. They are famous as a maker of “Wakasaimo” , represents one of famous Hokkaido sweets. This is a sweet potato wrapping arround pasted red beans.
This is a bite-size snack and is individually wrapped in firm, looking stylish package.
Because of their raw-like texture and softness, each one is placed in a plastic tray.
It is a transparent pasted bean jam of sweet potato. It is rich sweet using fresh cream and butter, and has the texture of a thick sweet potato.
Looking at the cross section, the pasted red beans (azuki beans) is sufficiently filled in.
The collaboration of rich sweet potato and the light pasted red bean jam (Ogura-an) give the pastry a luxurious flavor despite its bite-size size.
