Yaraku
Japanese notation "八樂"
Bankaku Sōhonpo locates in Tokai City, Aichi Prefecture, is very famous for “Yukari” shrimp crackers. This time, we are introducing their “Yaraku,” an assortment package of rice crackers.
The confectionery name, Yaraku is printed in Chinese characters in the middle of the beautiful colored package. Yaraku means eight pleasures. The Yaraku is named because of containing eight different rice crackers
There are eight different types of Okaki (rice crackers) per package. Their color combination is beautiful and looks very rich. Each of them has name and we can see their detailes at their URL, very thoughtful.
- Hime yukari — Used lots of pasted shrimp, rich & mild flavor.
- Nori — Used seaweed from Ise Bay, rich flavor of seeweed.
- Ebi Aonori — Used seaweed from Setouchi and shrimp which gives savory and colorful.
- Ebi Sugata — Grilled shrimp seasoning with Okinawa mild salt.
- Kuro goma — Used rare local black sesame, high flavor of the sesame.
- Maccha — Used Maccha, greeen tea harvested in Nishio, Aichi Pref., gives rich flavor, good balance of the sweetness and bitterness.
- Ebi okaki — Used glutinous rice and lots of shrimp.
- Zuwai gani — Very rich flavour of snow crab.
The shrimp is intact, and particularly eye-catching.
The shrimp is pressed directly into the rice crackers. The other rice crackers are also very delicate and fine tasting. This is an rich rice cracker package and is good for a gift.
