Yōsei-no-komichi

Luxurious chocolate kuchen with a hint of rum

The “Yōsei-no-komichi(Fairy’s Path)” made by “Kitakarō”, which has its main store in Sunagawa City, Hokkaido, is a bite-sized baumkuchen covered in chocolate.

Sunagawa City is located right in the middle of Sapporo and Asahikawa, and is famous for its many confectionary shops. The area along the national highway lined with confectionary shops is called “Sunagawa Sweet Road,” and offers a variety of sweets from long-established confectionary shops to cafes.

Kitakaro, a major presence in Sunagawa City, is a confectioner with a reputation for making sweets that make the most of Hokkaido’s ingredients, both Western and Japanese.

There are also rum raisins inside, and the rum-infused baumkuchen dough mingles with the milk chocolate. It was a very luxurious taste for a bite-sized pastry.
