Hakuryu-Doradora
Japanese notation "白竜どらどら"
“Hakuryu-Doradora” made by “Etoile Oike” in Mihara City, Hiroshima Prefecture, is a dorayaki, but the dough is unique and has an unprecedented texture. “Etoile Oike” is a cake store, so I think they take a unique approach in making their dorayaki crust.
The packaging is also a bit unique, with a large illustration of a dragon that looks like something out of “Dragon Ball (manga)”.
A heavy dorayaki. The surface of the crust is characterized by its rough texture.
The dorayaki dough has a fluffy, pure white cross-section, while the inside is filled with a dense layer of Tsubu-an (sweet bean paste). It has the texture of a cake sponge.
It is a combination of Ogura-an (sweet bean paste) and sponge cake, and is a delicious collaboration of what you would expect if a cake maker made Dorayaki! It is quite large, but I ate it in no time.
