Hotate
Big-sized deep-fried rice crackers with the flavor of scallops
Japanese notation "カリー(咖喱)"
“Curry (Senbei)” from Sanshu Seika, a rice cracker manufacturer in Kasukabe City, Saitama Prefecture. It is rare to find rice crackers with a package that puts curry at the forefront.
It is illustrated with various spices and the word “curry” is written in large Chinese characters(咖喱).
The surface is not covered with curry powder, but rather the curry roux itself. The aroma of authentic curry is in the air.
After all, it is thick, probably at least 1 cm. Despite its thickness, it is light and crispy.
It has a deep, rich, spicy flavor that is not simply curry powder. It is a piece that reminds us once again that curry and fried rice crackers go so well together.
