Arcadia

Bite-sized almond cookies in a nostalgic can.

Morozoff’s is a nationally known confectionery store, but its origins date back to 1931, when a Caucasian-Russian businessman established Kobe Morozoff Confectionery in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, with investment from Tomozō Kuzuno, a lumber merchant in Kobe.

The cookies I bought this time are “Arcadia” cookies in a can with a nostalgic atmosphere. When I was a child, I think I saw a can of these in every house.

Incidentally, the name “Arcadia” is the name of a region in ancient Greece, which was handed down as a paradise and became a synonym for an ideal world.

The can is opened to reveal a film package.

The cookies are filled with “Arcadia” cookies with a single almond on each cookie.

The almonds stick firmly to the buttery bite-sized cookies.

Although bite-sized, the crispy, buttery cookies with the crunch of whole almonds are as delicious as ever.
