Nomura’s Millet biscuits

Historic biscuits based on the concept of health and honesty

The “Kenkō(Healthy) Millet biscuits” produced by “Nomura Iri-mame Kakōten”, established in 1923 in Kochi Prefecture, are now famous throughout Japan.

“Nomura Iri-mame Kakōten” was founded as a bean processing and sales store, producing bean confectionaries and amanatto (sweetened soybeans) at that time. Around 1955, the company created the “Millet biscuits” which became its signature product, and went on to produce a variety of biscuits.

Unlike regular Millet biscuits, these biscuits are not sprinkled with salt. This series is marketed under the concept of “health”.

The cookie is slightly larger than a 500 yen coin. They are not sprinkled with salt and have a smooth texture.

The unique savory flavor is a blend of oil from fried beans. It is simple and delicious, and you will never get tired of it.
