Setouchi Lemon Ame
Japanese notation "瀬戸内レモンアメ"
“Setouchi Lemon Candy” is a series of “Bontan Ame” produced by Seika foods, which is famous for producing “Bontan Ame”. “Pineapple Ame” is sold only in Kagoshima, while “Setouchi Lemon Candy” is sold only in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions.
The lemon illustration is refreshing against the background of the Great Seto Bridge. This retro atmosphere is also nice.
When I opened the package, I found candy with a familiar texture. The color is a fairly deep lemon.
Bite-sized grains wrapped tightly in an edible paper. I remember the first time I saw the edible paper, I thought it was plastic wrapping and peeled it off to eat.
The flavor faithfully reproduces the bitterness and sweet-sourness of lemon. It is a simple taste that you can eat up all at once. I thought it was a perfect souvenir from the Chugoku and Shikoku region because of its originality.
