Doraichi Sio Butter
Japanese notation "どら一塩バター"
“Dora-Ich” from Hatada Honpo, a confectionary shop based in Niihama City, Ehime Prefecture, which operates many stores in the Shikoku region. The dorayaki is very unique in that it is a dorayaki with a salted butter flavor. It is a major seller in the Shikoku area, and salted butter dorayaki has become one of the standard items.
The salt used is “Hakata-no-Sio“, a well-known brand of salt in Japan, which shows the extraordinary care taken with salted butter.
It has the appearance of a standard dorayaki. The appearance of the dorayaki does not suggest the novel concept of a “salted butter flavor.
I split it in half and found it! It is a pure white salted butter cream that overlaps the Ogura-an bean paste. It is pure white and fluffy cream like whipped cream.
Well, it is indeed delicious. The pure white salted butter cream is appropriately sweet and enhances the flavor of the sweet bean paste while also creating a creamy texture. At first, I thought it was a very sharp concept, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it has become a regular item on the menu.
