Naruto Orange Awaji Mochi
Japanese notation "鳴門オレンジ あわじ餅"
“Naruto Orange Awaji Mochi” from Nagate Choeido, which was founded in 1930 in Sumoto City, Hyogo Prefecture. Chote Choeido makes sweets using ingredients from Awaji Island, and they use “Naruto Orange”, a specialty of Awaji Island, to make a variety of sweets.
The use of Naruto orange in “awajimochi,” a Japanese confectionery, is a surprise.
Upon opening the package, we found a plastic case filled with soybean flour inside. It is held in place with rubber bands to prevent the kinako from overflowing.
It seems to be the so-called “Kinako Mochi” style as shown in the photo, but I cannot confirm the presence of orange yet.
