Raku-ou Café au Lait Donuts
Japanese notation "酪王カフェオレ ドーナツ"
I bought a “Raku-ou Café au Lait Donuts” which is a doughnut pastry made from “Raku-ou Café au Lait”, a well-known drink in Fukushima Prefecture. This rich café au lait made with more than 50% raw milk has been a favorite dairy beverage in the Tohoku area since its launch in 1976.
These doughnuts are a confection of “Raku-ou Café au Lait Donut” made into doughnuts by Nagatoya Co.
The texture of the dough is moist and soft like a cake. In terms of size, it is smaller than a regular doughnut and can be eaten in 2~3 bites.
Since it contains a lot of raw milk, it has a firm, rich sweetness, and the texture is also a little sticky. The flavor of “Raku-ou Café au Lait” which is said to be the soul drink of Fukushima, was faithfully made into a doughnut, giving it a taste of originality.
