Aizu Peanuts Pie
Japanese notation "会津ピーナッツパイ"
I bought “Aizu Peanut Pie” made by Aizu Peanut Mart in Kitakata City, Fukushima Prefecture. Aizu Peanut Mart is promoting the appeal of “Aizu peanuts” throughout Japan, and produces sweets using “Aizu peanuts,” which are characterized by their “large grains, oily and creamy taste.
The cute peanut character is also a good representation of the climate of the Aizu region.
When opened, the pie crust is a little transparent, and it seems to be well moistened and chunky.
Moist texture. The pie is also very moist and has a rich flavor.
The peanut cream has a lighter, more natural flavor than expected. It seemed to make use of the “oily and creamy flavor” that is said to be a characteristic of Aizu peanuts. The pies are carefully baked one by one, so they have a delicious natural sweetness and a carefully handmade feel.
