Ryoguchiya Korekiyo’s “Tabi-Makura” is a famous long-established Japanese confectionery in Nagoya City. This confectionary is often sold as a set with “Shina-no-ji” introduced the other day, and is one of the representative sweets of “Ryoguchiya Korekiyo”.
Like “Shina-no-ji” it is wrapped in twisted wrapping paper like candy. The size of “Tabi-Makura” is just a little smaller.
The outer dough is like the outer dough of a “kintsuba” but thicker and more like a manju.
The reddish fine red bean paste is characteristic of “Ryoguchiya Korekiyo”.
The sesame-sesame flavored skin and fine kosasus. The elaborate construction of this miniature size is a sign of traditional craftsmanship.
