Kurayoshi Dorayaki Ajikura
Japanese notation "倉吉どら焼き 味蔵"
I bought “Kurayoshi Dorayaki Ajigura” made by “Kurayoshisha” a confectioner in Kurayoshi City, Tottori Prefecture. The other day I was shocked by the taste of “Utsubuki-yama koro-koro” but this time I will have a standard Japanese-style dorayaki.
Kurayoshi City is famous for its streets of white-walled storehouses and merchant houses preserved from long ago. Many of the sweets made by “Kurayoshisha” are related to the Kurayoshi City area, and one can feel their love for their hometown.
It is an authentic dorayaki visual. The crust is quite thick.
Inside is a large amount of azuki bean paste. The thick, fluffy dorayaki crust wraps it tightly.
The crust tasted like a little brown sugar had been used, and the sweet, airy dorayaki crust had a crispy texture. The azuki bean paste also had a standard sweetness, giving it the feel of a so-called traditional, old-fashioned dorayaki.
