Cream Cheese Dorayaki
Japanese notation "大九州 クリームチーズどら焼"
“Cream Cheese Dorayaki” is a dorayaki with cream cheese mixed into the red bean paste inside, made by “Cream Cheese Dorayaki” a company with three stores in Yatsushiro City, Kumamoto Prefecture.
The design is powerful despite the fashionable use of cream cheese.
Upon opening the package, I found a dorayaki with a very moist and delicate texture. The color is thin like a pancake, and the crust is made like a very soft sponge cake, similar to the “nama dorayaki” that are often seen these days.
If you peek at it from the side, you can see the cream cheese sticking out. It is pure white, elastic and tofu-like in texture, and seems to contain quite a bit of it.
The cream cheese is laid out and contained in a circle that wraps around the Ogura-an bean paste.
The combination of cream cheese and Ogura-an (sweet bean paste) goes extremely well together! Delicious. The dorayaki skin is soft and fluffy, and the combination of cream cheese and Ogura-an goes perfectly with the cream cheese and Ogura-an. I think it tastes even better when eaten cold.
