Hidekona
Japanese notation "ひでこナ"
These baked sweets are associated with the Akita folk songs “Akita obako” and “hideko bushi”. The “Obakona” contains brown sugar bean paste, while the “Hidekona” is a baked sweet with white miso bean paste inside.
The cute packaging resembles a festival “happi” costume.
The “Obakona” was wrapped in silver foil, whereas the “Hidekona” was wrapped in gold foil.
Like “Obakona,” it has the feel of a crispy baked good. Although you can’t feel much difference from the outside,
When I cracked it open and looked inside, I found a white miso bean paste. The inside was moist and the outside was browned.
Although it is called white miso bean paste, it does not have much of a miso aroma and has a moderate sweetness to it. It was the kind of bean paste that enhances the rustic flavor of the baked sweets as a whole.
