High quality custard sweet buns, green tea version

“Inochi Matcha”, made by Lagunoo-Sasaki in Aomori Prefecture is a matcha-flavored version of a popular s custard cakes series.  The confectioner has an image of a maker who mainly uses apples for their sweets and this is a full-fledged confection focusing on matcha green tea.

A round dot painted on the package like a watercolor painting seems to be the symbol of this series. It is a delicate and beautiful design that has become familiar to us because we see it so often.

The sponge cake manju, sweet bun is a rather austere matcha color.

There are two layers, green tea cream and pasted red bean jam inside.

The sponge cake itself has a subtle green tea flavor, and the green tea cream and red bean jam give it a Japanese-style flavor. It is finished as an elegant Japanese sponge cake manju, sweet bun.
