Dorayaki (Taneya)
Japanese notation "どらやき (たねや)"
Taneya, locates in Omihachiman City, Shiga Prefecture, is a large confectionery store that is now well known nationwide, They are a traditional, long-established confectionery founded in 1872. Although Taneya is a long-established confectioner, they are also popular as a sophisticated and modern Japanese confectioner. I bought their standard product, a Dorayaki, a bean-jam pancake this time.
The Dorayaki is supplied on a plastic case wrapped in a simple clear package. It looks a typical gentle package of Taneya.
The surface of the dough is a smooth type, conveying a fluffy feeling.
The filling of azuki bean paste is made from carefully selected beans produced by a contract farm in Hokkaido.
The Ogura-an, azuki bean jam has a freshness and is simply delicious. The dorayaki crust is also so well balanced finishes that there is nothing to complain about.
This dorayaki surely supports their standard line-ups. It is authentic and high quality.
