Orange imo-tart
Japanese notation "おれんじ芋タルト"
“Orange imo-tart”, made by Bohryodo, a long-established Japanese and Western confectionery in Tateyama City, Chiba Prefecture since 1923, is a sweet potato tart made of two types of potatoes, Ayakomachi and Benito, both produced in Chiba Prefecture.
Beni Azuma is commonly used for making sweets and it is new to me that the other race, Ayakomachi is used. It contains a lot of carotene and the flesh colors bright orange.
The sweet potato past colors orange because of the flesh of Ayacomachi.
The tart crust is filled with a generous amount of sweet potato paste.
The orange sweet potato paste looks like a pumpkin pie. It is firmly delicious with the natural sweetness of sweet potatoes. It is impressive potato race of Ayacomachi.
