“Murasakino” , a signature confectionary made by Senbon Tamajuken in Kamigyo-ku, Kyoto City, “Murasakino” is a traditional Japanese confectionary.  It is unforgettable impact once you try it.

It wrap Daitokuji natto, fermented soybeans, in a washosanbon rakugan, and has been popular as a tea cakes for a long time.  The refined sweetness harmonizes with unique flavor of Daitokuji natto.

It contains six lovely-sized packages.

The Rakugan, pressed hard candy/dry confection of starch contains “Daitokuji natto” , fermented soybeans, which gives them a unique flavor.

“Daitokuji natto” is a completely different type of natto from what we usually eat. It is made by covering boiled soybeans with barley flour, generating koji mold, and repeatedly fermenting and drying it under the sun. It tastes salty and had a rich flavor similar to miso.
