Noji-no-Sato
Japanese notation "野路の里"
“Noji-no-Sato” made by Kameya Yoshinaga, a long-established confectioner, established in 1803 in Kyoto, is a baked sweet, which includes mixing chestnut paste and white bean jam.
The package has autumnal hues and a cute illustration of chestnuts. It is their autumnal standard products sold since 1990.
It is a bite-sized pastry. They are baked more firmly than expected, and burnt portion can be seen on the surface.
It is a pastry made of pasted chestnut and white bean-jam, so it is similar texture to “Kuri-kinton” , mashed sweet potato with chestnuts.
The gentle sweetness spreads and crumbles easily in my mouth. It is like a baked Kuri-kinton, and tastes the fragrant aroma of chestnuts. Chestnuts is harvested in autumn so that we can enjoy the seasonal confectionery.
