Amandara

Japanese notation"あまんだら"
Sweets named after mandala paintings
A foil baked confection called “Amandara” made by “Rinseido Honten” in Yatsuo-machi, Toyama City. The package design is impressive, with an illustration of a ship that looks like it was stamped with a print.
The name “Amandara” was named after the “Mandala Picture of the Lotus Sutra” in the collection of Honbo-ji Temple in Yatsuo-cho, Toyama City.
Confectionery body wrapped in gold foil.
Upon opening the package, a sponge pastry steaming in foil is revealed.
Inside are rum-soaked raisins and chestnut red bean paste.
It was like a moist cake with a buttery sponge cake batter and rum raisins. It was a foil pastry with a blend of Japanese and Western flavors made by a traditional Japanese confectioner.
