Tsuru Sablé
Japanese notation "鶴サブレー"
The “Tsuru Sablé” made by Baron, a confectionery store in Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture, is, as the name suggests, a Sablé in the shape of a crane. Gunma Prefecture is shaped like a crane facing southeast and spreading its wings, and the name was derived from the appearance of the crane.
The package also looks auspicious, with the word “crane” written in Chinese characters in red and white colors.
The shape of the sablefish, which I am curious about, is a bit strange.lol
Rather than the shape of a crane, it seems to faithfully represent the shape of Gunma Prefecture.
Made with simple ingredients such as flour, sugar, eggs, butter, and almond pudding, the sableye was slightly sweet and had a delicious rustic flavor.
