Kuro-dama

Japanese notation "くろ玉"
“Kuro-dama” by “Sawadaya” in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, is a traditional confectionery that has been made since 1929. It is a uniquely shaped confection made from peas and brown sugar.
Open the box and you will find four black balls.
A unique plastic container.
It is one size larger than a bite size.
It looks pitch black, slippery, and beautifully shiny, truly a “Kuro-dama (Black ball)”. It has a nice aroma of brown sugar.
The inside is a beautiful yellow-green color. Both the outside and the inside are unique and delicious looking sweets. Kuro-tama” is a sweet made from green peas and wrapped in brown sugar yokan.
The texture of the unguisu-an (green soybean paste) grains was firm and the taste of the beans was delicious. The rich sweetness of the brown sugar also added a refined taste. The green peas are boiled separately for four days and added to the greenish brown bean paste.
