Hanayori
Japanese notation "はなより"
Founded in 1928 in Koshigaya City, Saitama Prefecture, “Kintoki Rice Crackers” is a long-established confectionery shop that produces high-grade rice crackers, rice crackers, and rice crackers made from 100% domestic rice. The “Hanayori” I bought this time is a mini pack of assorted rice crackers from Kintoki Rice Crackers.
The package is decorated with bright flowers. It seems to express the fact that there are various kinds of okaki in the assortment.
The lineup includes “nori roll, black bean salad, shrimp, salami, white sugar, murasaki sweet potato, and matcha green tea,” so the reddish rice cracker must be murasaki sweet potato.
The miniature Murasaki-imo rice crackers are covered on the outside with honey and sprinkled with black sesame. It was the first time for me to taste the fragrant and slightly sweet potato flavor.
The round balls of okaki, sprinkled with matcha powder and sugar, are also unique. The crunchy bitterness of the matcha and the sweetness of the sugar mix to create an interesting taste.
