Yūyake-Ringo
Japanese notation "夕焼けりんご(名月堂)"
The “Yūyake-Ringo” made by Meigetsudo, which has its main store in Iizuna-machi, Nagano Prefecture, is an apple galette made with Fuji apples grown in Shinshu.
Fuji apples originated in Aomori, which is still the largest producer of Fuji apples in Japan, and Nagano Prefecture is also active in the production of Fuji apples, boasting the second largest production after Aomori. Fuji apples account for about 50% of all apples consumed in Japan, which clearly shows the high production volume of Nagano Prefecture.
When I cracked it open, I found a tremendous volume of apple fruit. The sliced baked apples are flavored with cinnamon.
It seems that plenty of butter is also used, and the combination of apple, cinnamon, and butter is definitely a royal combination, with the natural sweetness of apples and the texture that remains just the right amount of crispiness, and the cinnamon is well done to give it a luxurious flavor.
