Baby Poem Uji-Matcha

Uji green tea version of Ehime's famous confectionery "Poem"

The Uji green tea flavor of “Poem”, which boasts of its great popularity in Ehime Prefecture, is now available. Hahoemu is a baked sweet filled with yellow bean paste, but what would it be like if it were flavored with matcha green tea?

On the package, “Otemoyan” and “Hyottoko” are drawn. It looks fun.

When I opened the package, it was surprisingly matcha-colored. Although the shape is that of a ”Poem”, I was a bit surprised at the green color, which had quite an impact on me.

Even when split in half, it is matcha-colored all the way inside. It is made with plenty of high-grade matcha green tea from Ujien. The matcha flavor will definitely go well with the hollowed-out bean paste of ”Poem”.

It was still a delicious finish with a perfect combination of bitterness and sweetness. The refined and full-bodied matcha has a strong presence, giving it a slightly mature taste.
