Tsuki-Sekai
Japanese notation "月世界"
This is my personal No. 1 recommendation. I used to eat these sweets when I lived in Toyama Prefecture as a child. The name “Tsuki Sekai” has a very beautiful world view. It is a confectionery that I personally have a lot of feelings for, and it makes me nostalgic.
The appearance is just elegant and beautiful. The Japanese paper used for the wrapping also has a rabbit pattern woven into it, which I think is a wonderful design.
It is a confectionary made by drying molasses made by boiling down chicken eggs, wasanbon, agar, and white sugar, and I still wonder how it is made to look like this.
The cross section looks like this. It is hard to describe, but it is a really delicious pastry.
What you have to be careful about is that the sweets are very susceptible to humidity. Although it is susceptible to humidity, it is a really high perfection Japanese confection.
Incidentally, Gekkai Honpo was founded in 1897. The depth of tradition and the delicate perfection of the confection of the confectionery are convincing qualities. It is a famous confectionery in Toyama that I hope many people will enjoy in the future.
