Gomabakkashi

Japanese notation "ごまばっ菓子"
“Gomabakkashi” among the brand “Ganshoku, Chaya Yui” is made by Demian, a limited company in Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture.” It is supposed to be read as “full of sesame,” and the entire rice cracker seems to be made of hardened sesame.
As the brand name said, “amashoku” is the signature product of this confectioner, and this is also a local favorite for nearly 40 years, and each one is carefully baked by hand.
This is almost more “sesame” than I imagined.
It is very thinly finished and crispy. The dough connecting the sesame and sesame seeds has a glossy texture like coarse luster.
The dough is made of wheat and sugar and it is just the right sweetness. And above all, the aroma of sesame is amazing. The balance of the savory flavor with a hint of sweetness is great. We can enjoy the sesame beyond our expectation.
