Fukuwatashi Senbei (Chocolate)

It is called senbei (rice cracker), but it looks like a modern Western-style confectionery.
Soke Minamoto Kitchōan, often seen in department stores nationwide, is actually a Japanese confectionery store originated in Okayama Prefecture founded in 1946. They currently operates about 150 stores nationwide headquartered in Ginza, Tokyo.
Their “Fukuwatashi Senbei” is a modern confectionary with a Western taste, despite the name “senbei” (rice cracker). It is a cream filling sandwiched between two pieces of hard-baked waffle dough, a so-called “waffle”.
Moreover, since it is chocolate-flavored, it has an unmistakably Western flavor. At a glance, it is difficult to call a rice cracker (lol)
The wavy waffle dough has a cookie-like texture and chocolate cream is sandwiched between them.
The chocolate flavored vaffel dough and chocolate cream, of course they go well together, but it’s more like a cookie sandwich than a rice cracker lol.
This is a hearty and satisfying snack.
