Keiran-Ware-Senbei
Japanese notation "鶏卵われせんべい"
“Keiran-Ware-Senbei” made by Fukagawa Egg Farm, a poultry farmer in Nagato City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. These crackers are made from the eggs of hens raised on the poultry farm. It is sold in supermarkets in Yamaguchi Prefecture and seems to be a very familiar snack to locals.
By the way, the ones we bought this time are the ones that were cracked during the manufacturing process and are sold in bags at a discount, and of course there are also “Keiran-Senbei” without cracks. However, when I opened the bag, I found that only about 4 to 5 pieces were cracked. I feel like I got a very good deal.
A small-sized, crispy, light-feeling rice cracker appeared. A chicken symbol is branded on the surface.
As you can see, the cross section contains a lot of air and is very light on the palate, with a sponge cake flavor that brings the eggs and honey to life. It has a rustic sweetness.
It is very luxurious to use fresh eggs from a poultry farm in rice crackers, isn’t it? The flavor of the egg is very satisfying. It is rich and delicious. The cost performance of such a delicious cracker is astounding at only 300 yen for 140 grams of cracker.
